Live, online general English from accredited UK schools — every level from beginner to advanced.
Online general English covers the four core skills — speaking, listening, reading, writing — plus grammar and vocabulary, organised by level (CEFR A1 to C2). Lessons are live and teacher-led, in small groups or one-to-one, using the same syllabus and materials the school uses for its in-person courses.
Every school is accredited by the British Council, English UK, EAQUALS or ISI. Lessons are graded to your level after a free placement test, and you progress at the pace of the group. Most schools issue a certificate of attendance and a final-week report covering your level and skill breakdown — useful for CVs, university applications, or moving on to a higher-level course.
Want to specialise once you have a base? Many schools offer business English, IELTS prep or one-to-one tuition as your level grows. If you can travel, the same schools run in-person courses in London, Cambridge and Brighton.

Any. Most schools offer levels from A1 (beginner) to C2 (proficiency). Before your first lesson the school sends a free placement test (usually a 30-minute online quiz) and matches you to the right group. If you’re a complete beginner, group classes are limited — many beginners start with one-to-one until they reach A2.
Most online general English courses run 10–20 hours per week of live lessons. Part-time options (5–10 hours, evenings or weekends) are common for working students. Intensive courses (25–30 hours) match what you’d get in-person — useful for a specific deadline like an upcoming UK trip or exam.
Yes. The teachers are UK-based (most schools require teachers to live in the UK or be UK-trained), the syllabus is identical to the in-person course, and the materials are the same. The only thing missing is the immersion — being surrounded by English outside class. Many students compensate with extra speaking practice or by joining UK-based online communities.
Most schools support this. You arrive at the same level, with familiar teachers and materials, and slot into the in-person class without losing progress. Some schools offer a discount when you upgrade from online to in-person, especially if you book the in-person course while still studying online.
Yes — most schools issue a certificate of attendance plus an end-of-course report with your CEFR level and skill breakdown. This isn’t an external qualification like Cambridge or IELTS, but it’s recognised for university applications and employer screening. For external certification, take an exam-prep course alongside or after general English.
