General English + IELTS or Business English (Summer, Jun–Aug)

This course adds English Plus to Anglotec's morning General English: 15 hours from 09:00 to 12:30, then 5 hours of a chosen topic from 14:00 to 15:00. Topics include General and Academic IELTS preparation, Business English, presentation and negotiation skills, workplace communication, Academic English and TOEIC. This is the summer price, for courses from June to August (£290 for General English plus £75 for English Plus). In summer, English Plus is free when you book four weeks or more. Summer is the busiest season, with the beaches next to the school and weekend trips to York, Leeds, Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay. Students who study for two weeks or more join the free weekday activity programme, and the Conversation Club (16:00 to 17:00) is free. Weekend excursions cost extra. Homestay with a local family is £230 a week, with breakfast, a packed lunch and dinner.
